Hello! This is Daily Money Go, where I record the realistic investment journey of a woman in her 50s. Today, I’d like to share the thrilling and exciting recap of my trade in Vishay Intertechnology (Ticker: VSH).
1. Full Buy of 33 Shares, Profit in Just 3 Days
On December 18th, I invested all of my available cash balance of $488 to purchase 33 shares of VSH. I thought it would hit my target by Friday, but it only hovered near the price. I was slightly disappointed, but surprisingly, it reached my target in just 3 trading days. After the weekend, Monday and Tuesday brought strong upward momentum.
The Thrill of Raising My Target: From $15.15 to $15.20 My original plan was to sell at $15.15. But seeing the strong momentum, I raised my target slightly to $15.20.

- Result: Success! All 33 shares were sold at my adjusted target price.
2. Small but Certain Happiness: $18 Profit, Cash Balance $506
My cash balance increased from $488 to $506. That’s about $18 (around 24,000 KRW). Small, but meaningful.

- 3 years of commission-free trading → full profit secured.
- Capital gains tax exemption → no worries within the annual limit.
- The miracle of 3 days → confidence gained with over 3% return!
3. [Preview] Plans for My Korean Stock Portfolio
“Yesterday’s profit is today’s confidence! Hahaha! From VSH to Peabody, my dollar wallet is getting heavier every day.”
With this profit from VSH, I now turn to the Korean market. Two plans ahead:
- ① Woori Financial Group – Challenge for the 100-Share Club Currently holding 60 shares with about 7% profit. Planning to add 40 shares to reach 100.
- ② Korea Steel – “Free-Range Mode” in ISA Account Missed buying by just 20 KRW today. Hoping for a better price after ex-dividend day. Planning to invest the remaining 450,000 KRW in my ISA account and let it sit long-term.
4. Conclusion: Investing Should Be Fun!
With clear direction, my mind feels refreshed. Following principles brings profits naturally. With the small gain from U.S. stocks, I’ll face the Korean market tomorrow with even more joy. Let’s continue this fun investment journey together. Hahaha!
